This Week at Youtube "Shopping Tab in Youtube Studio"
Welcome to the present week's information due to it's weekday, it's news day.
So let's state this week's updates. First up, let's speak Shorts.
Shorts fund recipients who qualified based on their June activity were notified last week.
Up next, let's talk about the launch of the Creator Safety Center site. We know that YouTube creators face unique challenges and risks because of their public presence, and in some cases, their celebrity status. We've talked with many creators and it's clear that more creators wish they knew what practical safety tools and proactive steps they could take to better ensure their online safety and privacy.
So as part of our ongoing efforts around creator safety and wellbeing, last week, we announced the launch of an online resource called the Creator Safety Center.
The Safety Center is a webpage dedicated to information, topics, and resources around online safety but specific to creators and content makers.
Topics include how to protect yourself from online abuse, what steps you can take in the event of channel hijacking or impersonation, proactive steps you can take to protect your privacy online and in the real world, and organizations you can reach out to in the event of a crisis.
The Creator Safety Center is currently only available in English, but we plan to bring it to more languages soon and partner with local and regional safety organizations around the world.
You can find the Creator Safety Center at youtube.com/creators/safety, and will leave a link to the center in the description as well as additional resources.
Check it out. I'd love to know what you think, and let us know if you've any questions. And finally, let's talk about merch. We've renamed the Merchandise tab under monetization in Studio to Shopping.
As we expand our offerings and integrations, this new Shopping tab will become a single home for all shopping features on YouTube.
Shopping, previously, merch, eligible channels will all have access to this tab. Let us know what you think.
And that's about it for this week's news flash, from the creators of YouTube to YouTube creators, we'll see you next.
